Although sometimes a dot is just a dot or a bird is just a bird, much of my work contains symbolic meanings. For many years I have studied the art, symbols, and stories of ancient cultures and I often use a pattern, shape, sign, or drawing that refers to some historical myth .
There are even many sources available now which ascribe attributes and powers to various natural gemstones and materials. This wealth of information provides a rich palette of symbolic design elements which can be combined, altered, and reinterpreted in ways that may comfort, entertain, and convey meanings and feelings to a modern clientele.

I like to create objects that have some sort of magic to them. The responses from many customers over the past 28 years indicate that my hope that the work will be of personal significence to the user is often realized.
Sometimes the depth of their connections has surprised me. I have learned much from my customers about the human search for meaning in life, and ways we can communicate these deep feelings to each other.

I hope you will find some elements here which will forge connections to our ancient past, our inner selves, and our hope for the future.
